Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Mental Health Midwife Specialist to join our Perinatal Care team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical midwifery care to women with mental illness, including signposting support and advice for both in and out of area women.
Main Duties of the Job- Act as a resource for all staff involved in maternity care, providing expert guidance and support.
- Develop and implement care pathways for women experiencing mental illness, ensuring holistic care and addressing their specific needs.
You will work closely with midwives, GPs, health visiting service, obstetricians, and other agencies to provide a comprehensive service link between these teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based advice, support, and information regarding the appropriate support and referral of women with mental health illness.
- Collaborate with relevant services to develop care pathways for various levels of mental health severity.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our patients and contribute to the advancement of perinatal mental health care.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Midwife with additional training in mental health and/or counselling. An MSc qualification within health and social care would be desirable.
We offer a competitive salary package, including a basic salary of £54,320-£60,981 per annum pro rata, and a range of benefits to support your career development and well-being.
