The Opportunity

Leonardo UK is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join their Joint Avionics Service (JAS) team at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in back office operational technical support for Typhoon Fast Jet, working closely with the Service Delivery manager for TyTAN JAS.

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for retrieving, structuring and analysing operational, engineering and logistics data to enable monitoring and optimisation of the spares and repairs chain performance. You will create and maintain interactive dashboards, feeding data analysis into Service Delivery and Project Engineering managers and associated teams.

You will liaise with various departments, including logistics, field engineers and QA, and work closely with our JAS Partner, BAES, to maintain a single source of truth for in-service support data. You will also provide support into future bid activity for follow-on JAS Contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieving, structuring and analysing operational, engineering and logistics data
  • Creating and maintaining interactive dashboards
  • Feeding data analysis into Service Delivery and Project Engineering managers
  • Liaising with various departments
  • Working closely with our JAS Partner, BAES
  • Providing support into future bid activity

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Relevant experience applying the principles of Supportability engineering and standards
  • Knowledge of the logistics and engineering activities required to support complex Defence or Aerospace products
  • Experience of working with Engineering Project Managers and Integrated Project Teams (IPT's)
  • Experience of gathering, analysing and drawing insights from data
