About the Role

CrossReach Counselling Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Counselling Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality counselling and therapy services to individuals and families across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the team to deliver high-quality counselling and therapy services, ensuring the highest professional standards and the aims and objectives of CrossReach Counselling Services are met.
  • Provide clinical and management supervision to the team, ensuring they maintain accurate records using approved systems and processes.
  • Manage the team's partnership with other professionals, particularly in relation to holding and managing client risk.
  • Ensure the service maintains compliance with relevant legislative, ethical policy, and COSCA requirements, including Child and Adult Safeguarding and Protection and Data Protection legislation.
  • Carry a small caseload and manage the development and delivery of training opportunities within the service.
  • Ensure COSCA Service Recognition standards are met.

Requirements

  • Experience in leading a team, with a strong background in counselling and therapy.
  • PSA/HPC registration and a Diploma in Counselling or other relevant qualification.
  • Significant post-qualifying practice hours and excellent computer literacy skills.
  • Previous experience in the Social Work, Health, Education, or Voluntary Sector, with a recognised qualification in Children and Young People Counselling or evidence of meeting the BACP/COSCA CYP competencies.
