PMO Officer Role

We are seeking a skilled Programme Management Specialist to join our Programme Management Office (PMO) team at West-Norfolk Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping us deliver well-managed projects and programmes for the borough.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, install, and embed project and programme management systems to establish the council's programme management framework.
  • Drive continuous improvement and develop processes to monitor and ensure that agreed standards are consistently applied for programme and project management across the organisation.
  • Produce high-quality, timely, and useful information for programme boards, Executive Directors, Assistant Directors, and elected members.
Requirements
  • Educated to A level standard of education (or equivalent).
  • Substantial experience working in a busy office environment at a senior level, including working with senior managers and elected members.
  • Experience in a project-related field with a working knowledge of project management processes, an understanding of local government procedures, and the key issues facing local government.
  • Strong communication skills, including confident presentation of advice to colleagues and reporting writing for senior managers.
  • Ability to apply a logical, solution-based, and analytical approach with excellent time management and organisation skills to tight deadlines.
