Join Our Programme Management Office Team

We are seeking a skilled Programme Management Office (PMO) Officer to join our team at West-Norfolk Council. As a PMO Officer, you will play a key role in developing, installing, and embedding project and programme management systems to establish the council's programme management framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project and programme management systems to ensure effective delivery of projects and programmes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and develop processes to monitor and ensure that agreed standards are consistently applied for programme and project management across the organisation.
  • Produce high-quality, timely, and useful information for programme boards, Executive Directors, Assistant Directors, and elected members.
Requirements:
  • Educated to A-level standard of education (or equivalent).
  • Substantial experience working in a busy office environment at a senior level, including working with senior managers and elected members.
  • Experience in a project-related field with a working knowledge of project management processes, an understanding of local government procedures, and the key issues facing local government.
  • Strong communication skills, including confident presentation of advice to colleagues and report writing for senior managers.
