Join Our Programme Management Office Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Management Specialist to join our Programme Management Office (PMO) team at the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping us deliver well-managed projects and programmes for the borough.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented individual with substantial experience working in a busy office environment at a senior level, including working with senior managers and elected members. You will have experience in a project-related field with a working knowledge of project management processes, an understanding of local government procedures, and the key issues facing local government.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, install, and embed project and programme management systems to establish the council's programme management framework.
  • Drive continuous improvement and develop processes to monitor and ensure that agreed standards are consistently applied for programme and project management across the organisation.
  • Produce high-quality, timely, and useful information for programme boards, Executive Directors, Assistant Directors, and elected members.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary up to £42,528 per annum, performance-related pay, a generous annual leave entitlement, flexible/hybrid working opportunities, and membership of the local government pension scheme.
