Role Overview

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Facilities Support Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional support services to our esteemed clients.

This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively, and delivering results-oriented outcomes.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of office premises, ensuring that all areas are safe, well-maintained, and free from hazards. This includes deep cleaning tasks, spot cleaning carpets, and supporting the Housekeeping Team as required.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all client floor areas.
  • Performing deep cleans, using specialized equipment such as buffers and carpet cleaners, and removing stains with training provided.
  • Ensuring premises are safe and regularly disinfected.
  • Removing waste, replenishing consumables and supplies, and attending to reactive jobs (spillages).
  • Providing exceptional customer service while working closely with clients and their staff.
  • Collecting crockery, cutlery, plates, etc., from meeting rooms on a round robin basis and returning them to the kitchen.
  • Liaising with the Front of House Team to coordinate the cleaning of meeting rooms between meetings.

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Regularly checking all client meeting rooms and assisting catering and Front of House teams by turning around rooms ready for the next meeting.
  • Assisting teams with ad-hoc requests for moving chairs and tables around the client floor.
  • Supporting porters with large set-ups for events.
  • Spot cleaning of carpets and walls during quiet periods.
Person Specification

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential skills and qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year's experience in cleaning and working in a hospitality or commercial environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A can-do attitude and polite, approachable demeanor.
  • Good timekeeping and attendance record.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
