About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Educational Support Professional to join our team in a supportive and nurturing SEN school in Chorley. As a key member of our staff, you will provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with special educational needs (SEN).

Your Responsibilities

  • Help students with autism, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and other learning barriers.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to create a positive, inclusive environment where all students can thrive.
  • Build trust and strong relationships with students to promote engagement and progress.

The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you should have experience in support work, care, or youth work, particularly with individuals with additional needs. A proactive and patient approach to supporting children with SEN is essential, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. You should also have a genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £23,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Availability for full-time work.
  • A valid Child Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • References covering the last two years of employment or study.
