Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at New Directions Holding. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting primary school students in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO, and class teachers.
  • Implement Individual Education Programs (IEPs) for students and monitor their progress.
  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records.
  • Support students with emotional or behavioral problems and help develop their social skills.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students with varying needs and staff.
  • Encouraging and supportive attitude.
  • Positive attitude towards teaching and aiding children's development.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant.
  • NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
  • CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education.
  • BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing).
