Commercial Analyst Opportunity

VANRATH is delighted to be working exclusively with an innovative utility provider based in Belfast to recruit a dynamic Commercial Analyst to take on an exciting role within the business.

About the Role

The Commercial Analyst is responsible for assisting with the development of operational and commercial arrangements in accordance with the relevant regulatory obligations, contractual framework, and appropriate industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development of transportation arrangements arising from modifications to the contractual and legislative framework.
  • Research current and future market arrangements both domestically and in other jurisdictions.
  • Analyze, develop, and continuously improve specified business processes.
  • Support the development of market arrangements related to the Energy Transition, particularly the injection and transportation of renewable gas into the NI Network.
  • Participate in external work streams with UK and European gas operators to determine potential impacts on the NI Gas Market.
  • Keep up to date with all relevant regulatory obligations and appropriate gas industry standards.
  • Draft reports, papers, and presentations.
  • Manage engagement in relevant consultation processes.
Requirements
  • Relevant 3rd level qualification with at least 3 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to analyze, assimilate, and objectively assess complex information, reports, and critical analysis to formulate cogent views and opinions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey messages clearly and succinctly.
  • Ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in Excel essential.
