Market Analyst Job Description

VANRATH is seeking a skilled Market Analyst to join our team in Belfast. As a Market Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the development of operational and commercial arrangements in accordance with regulatory obligations, contractual frameworks, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the development of transportation arrangements arising from modifications to contractual and legislative frameworks.
  • Conduct research into current and future market arrangements domestically and internationally.
  • Analyze, develop, and continuously improve specified business processes.
  • Support the development of market arrangements related to the Energy Transition, particularly the injection and transportation of renewable gas into the NI Network.
  • Participate in external work streams with UK and European gas operators to determine potential impacts on the NI Gas Market.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant regulatory obligations and gas industry standards.
  • Draft reports, papers, and presentations.
  • Manage engagement in relevant consultation processes.
Requirements:
  • Relevant 3rd-level qualification with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to analyze, assimilate, and objectively assess complex information, reports, and critical analysis to formulate cogent views and opinions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey messages clearly and succinctly.
  • Ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in Excel essential.
