About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Forensic Healthcare Professional to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a Forensic Custody Nurse or Paramedic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to detainees in our custody suites.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse or Paramedic with 3+ years' post-qualification experience to join our dynamic team. You will work closely with the police and receive training and support to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide forensic sampling, including road traffic offence bloods.
  • Signpost and conduct referrals, offering support for vulnerabilities and supporting patients to break patterns of re-offending.
  • Deliver substance misuse therapies.
  • Assess and care for detainees and staff in custody suites.
  • Manage acute diseases.
  • Promote good personal healthcare.
  • Work with Liaison and Diversion to identify any mental health needs.
Requirements
  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic.
  • A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Acute medical healthcare experience.

Previous experience in A&E, walk-in centres, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, prison, or as a Paramedic Practitioner or Registered Nurse would be ideal.
