Senior Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at SLR. As a key member of our Process Engineering team, you will play a critical role in managing waste and recycling projects across the life of a project, preparing concept designs, and completing feasibility studies.
Key Responsibilities- Manage waste and recycling projects, including preparing concept designs and completing feasibility studies;
- Assist with review of third-party designs, technical proposals, and operational models, and write technical due diligence reports for funders;
- Prepare technical and procurement documentation, schematics, and drawings, and manage contracts through our role in plant construction projects;
- Assist with preparation of models to determine plant energy and mass balances, emission rates, and financial/operational models, including thermodynamic calculations and basic financial metrics;
- Conduct on-site inspections, witness, verify, and supervise construction, commissioning, and testing projects, and troubleshoot operational plant, including waste and recycling operations and other renewable energy and sustainability-based projects;
- Develop relationships with existing and new clients, attend conferences, develop prospects, write proposals, and win new projects;
- Assist other teams within SLR with technical and process engineering aspects of diverse projects.

About YouYou will have a degree in engineering and experience of managing projects in the waste and recycling or related fields. You will be able to work as part of a team and fit into SLR's One Team culture. You will have excellent communication skills and be confident and friendly.
You will have knowledge and understanding of biomethane and will have some experience of working on construction projects and facilities as an engineer, consultant, project delivery manager, or operator.
Requirements- Degree in Engineering, Biochemistry, or similar subject;
- Experience in anaerobic digestion or related fields;
- Numerate and confident with data, basic modeling with excellent report writing skills and IT literate, particularly with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
- Ability to work independently and within a team;
- Well-organized and logical thinker, friendly and outgoing with good communication skills;
- Full, current, clean driving license valid in the UK with ability to travel.
- Masters degree in relevant subject;
- Chartered Engineer (or working towards a professional qualification or membership of a professional body);
- Experience working on site, health and safety, and CDM (Construction Design Management Regulations 2015);
- Experience of due diligence, operations, contract management, and procurement;
