About the Role

Carnival UK is seeking a skilled Ventilation Specialist to join our team on board our luxury cruise ships. As a key member of our HVAC team, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the ship's ventilation, main AC water chiller systems, and domestic refrigeration plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the ship's ventilation systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of the main AC water chiller systems and domestic refrigeration plant.
  • Work closely with the ship's engineering team to ensure seamless operation of all HVAC systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with junior officers, cadets, and technicians to develop their skills and knowledge in HVAC and refrigeration.
Requirements
  • Relevant Refrigeration Qualification (e.g. City and Guilds or NVQ3) is desirable.
  • Solid proven experience of working within the refrigeration industry is desirable.
  • Ventilation experience is desirable.
  • Good command of written and spoken English or Passed Marlins English test of Proficiency (where applicable).
  • F-gas Certification.
  • Valid ENG1 medical certificate or equivalent for the duration of each voyage.
