Paediatric Ventilation Specialist

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and motivated nurse to join our Paediatric Long Term Ventilation team.
We are looking for an experienced nurse with a passion for caring for children and young people who are ventilated. The successful candidate will work within our multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality care to patients across the region.
The role will involve working within UHS predominantly, with some time spent in the community in patients' homes, schools, and nurseries. We offer a range of benefits, including access to NHS discounts, a minimum of 35 days paid holiday (pro rata), and a generous pension scheme.
The ideal candidate will have significant post-registration experience, a degree qualification, and knowledge of current issues within the acute health service. They will also possess excellent communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality care to patients with long-term ventilation needs
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
- Contribute to the development of the Paediatric Long Term Ventilation team
- Registered nurse on the relevant part of the NMC register
- Degree qualification or equivalent knowledge
- Significant post-registration experience in paediatric ventilation
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills
