Job Overview

Mitie Group Plc is seeking an experienced Senior HSE Director to lead the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Team in the Consulting, Construction and Development (CCD) Sector.

About the Role

This critical role will oversee operational HSE support within the sector, ensuring compliance and safe delivery against agreed Divisional and Sector HSE objectives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering HSE excellence in the civil engineering or construction sector.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the CCD HSE Team, managing root cause analysis for incidents and non-conformances
  • Tender support and EcoOnline data management
  • Develop an assurance programme with the HSE Director, focusing on regulatory compliance, sector risks and business expectations
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in HSE performance and provide data-driven recommendations
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with experience in a senior HSE position, holding a Full UK Driving License. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is £70,000-£90,000, depending on experience. Additionally, Mitie Group Plc offers a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities and a competitive pension scheme.
