Workshop Service Engineer – Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Service Engineer to join our team at Nationwide Platforms. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of powered access equipment.

Your primary duties will include:

  1. Supporting the Senior Service Engineer in the management of the depot workshop, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Carrying out pre-delivery inspections of machines at client premises and at the depot, ensuring that all equipment is safe and in good working order.
  3. Repairing and maintaining our fleet of powered access equipment, including booms and scissor lifts, to the highest standards.
  4. Completing planned maintenance activities, including servicing and inspections, to ensure that our equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
  5. Providing excellent customer service, ensuring that all customers are satisfied with the service they receive.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A relevant general engineering qualification, preferably to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  2. Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics fault finding.
  3. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  4. A mature outlook and the ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
