Financial Operations Director

Job Summary
The role of Financial Controller at Hays Senior Finance offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the Finance function and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
Your New Role
- Produce monthly Management Accounts, income statements, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts/statements, and other financial reports.
- Contribute to year-end audits and statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls, and systems, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and manage company budgets, collaborating with departments to analyze variances and drive business growth.
- Collaborate with the FP&A Analyst to develop budgeting and forecasting models.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Support the Chief Financial Officer in developing the business's strategic plan.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings, driving business efficiency.
- Manage tax reporting, including VAT, R&D tax credits, CIS, and payroll, ensuring compliance and minimizing tax liabilities.
- Lead the finance function, overseeing a team of three staff members and ensuring effective financial operations.
Requirements
- Hold a recognized accounting qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a similar financial role, with a strong understanding of financial operations and management.
- Experience in process improvement and system implementation is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a high-growth business is highly beneficial.
- Strong systems and Excel skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data.
