Pharmacy Technician for Medicines Optimisation

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a registered pharmacy technician to join their dynamic pharmacy team as a medicines management technician for a 9-12 months maternity cover period. This innovative post would suit ambitious and forward-thinking technicians who are passionate about providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients across community mental health teams.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, with experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and developing SOPs. A recognised medicines management qualification is essential for this role, which involves delivering a medicines optimisation service to provide efficient pharmaceutical care to patients.

Main Duties

  • Delivering a medicines optimisation service in the community
  • Working closely with the wider pharmacy team and integrated multi-disciplinary teams
  • Developing innovative working practices to improve medicines optimisation

Requirements

  • BTEC/NVQ level 3 in pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent
  • Current registration with GPhC
  • Medicines management/Medicines Reconciliation qualification or willingness to work towards
  • CPPE consultation skills qualification or equivalent
  • NVQ A1 workplace assessor or willingness to work towards

The estimated salary for this position is £38,100 - £46,226 per annum, pro rata for part-time employees. The trust supports flexible working arrangements and encourages employees to apply for flexible working requests from their first day of employment.
