Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford. As a key member of the Dispensary team, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent pharmacy services to patients and staff.

Main Responsibilities
  • Medicine Dispensing: Accurately dispense medicines for in-patients, either at ward level or in the dispensary.
  • Outpatient Services: Work in the outpatient dispensary to undertake the dispensing of medicines and sell over-the-counter medicines upon training.
  • Cash Handling and Advice: Collect prescription charges and provide advice on medicines usage to patients and carers, where appropriate.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Salary: £24,071 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
