Job Title: Budget and Forecast Manager

Location: Manchester

Job Type: Full-time

Duration: 12 months fixed-term contract

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 per annum, dependent on experience

The Role

This Budget and Forecast Manager role will support the Senior Finance Business Partner to build Salix Finance's reputation as trustworthy stewards of public money.

You will lead on all aspects of financial monitoring and reporting for specific business areas, ensuring actuals and budgets/forecasts are critiqued and reviewed before submission to the Senior Finance Business Partner.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring actuals against budget/forecast and maintaining accurate records.
  • Working with budget holders and the wider Finance team to ensure timely posting of accruals, prepayments, and miscode journals.
  • Supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner in producing monthly management reports, including Key Performance Indicators.
What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Practical experience of preparing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
  • Business partnering experience with teams outside of finance.
  • CCAB qualification or equivalent.
  • Deadline driven and collaborative team player.
