**What's the role?**:
The Head of Forecasting is responsible and accountable to lead and develop the Forecasting team with a Global scope and will be part of the Global Sales Planning organization.

The Forecasting team, is the ultimate (delegated) functional owner of the statistical forecasting process and capabilities, providing the baseline for the Regional Sales Forecast Integration processes.

The team is seen as a center of excellence in forecasting who partner with stakeholders to understand business problems and processes, identify potential solutions, and define business requirements to improve the forecasting processes.

**What does the role involve?**:
As Head of Forecasting you will ensure the development and management of the Forecasting according to agreed deliverables and objectives, installing a continuous improvement mindset within the forecasting process, maximizing operational efficiency and effectiveness and supporting Regions in identifying and implementing actions to improve the quality of the consensus forecast.

You will lead and develop the Forecasting team, develop and prepare demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation as part of the sales planning function and ensure that the statistical forecasting processes and monthly forecast release, are executed on time as per defined workflow calendar.

Measuring, monitoring and reporting on the statistical forecast quality, regular reporting to Senior management on the demand plan and KPI's and coordinating cross-functional and regional input to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions, whilst driving and shaping the departments
mid-long-term strategy.

Our Regional Head Office is based at Circle Square in Central Manchester, where we are located a short walk from Oxford Rd train station and St Peter's Square tram stop. **What you need is**:

- Extensive Operational experience in Demand Planning and Forecasting, Logistics, Supply Planning in a corporate environment.
- Previous experience in a central - Global, Regional - supply chain planning, demand planning / forecasting team.
- Leadership experience is essential.
- Experience and knowledge in statistics techniques and data analytics.
- A track record in implementing complex change process with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to combine conceptual understanding and practical judgement.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent skills in relationship building and collaboration at all levels of the organization.
- IT affinity and knowledge of planning systems is a must, knowledge of SAP R3, APO and JDA/Blue Yonder is a strong advantage.
- Degree
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is considered a plus.
- Fluent English (oral and written). Additional languages an advantage
