Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Social Work Practitioner to join our team, providing game-changing support to vulnerable children and young people. As a key member of our Children's Services department, you will play a crucial role in promoting positive outcomes for families and ensuring the well-being of those in our care.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing a complex allocation of children, sharing day-to-day care management tasks with the team manager. This includes promoting a restorative approach to working with children and families, making decisions, and providing advice and guidance to social workers. You will also be involved in mentoring Social Work colleagues, providing professional supervision to unqualified staff, and leading on or contributing to projects as directed by the team manager.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and families, with a strong understanding of the challenges they face. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, managers, and external partners.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Social Work or a related field
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • A current UK driving licence and vehicle
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
