Job Title: Children and Young People Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Children and Young People Officer. As a key member of our Direct Payment Officers team, you will play a vital role in facilitating and implementing self-directed support plans to promote independence and maximize outcomes for individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support individuals to set up direct payments and open prepayment cards to employ their own carers or purchase services, activities, or equipment that enable them to live independently.
  • Provide advice and information to individuals to help them understand their responsibilities as direct payment recipients and monitor and support the review of arrangements to ensure they are working well.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver services to local people and contribute to the Council's mission to make a difference to our communities and environment.
