Chief Cardiac Physiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Cardiac Physiologist to join our team in Chelmsley Wood. This is a full-time permanent position, with part-time hours also considered.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Perform and report adult trans-thoracic echocardiograms in line with BSE minimum data set and local reporting guidelines.
  2. Provide expert clinical guidance via our second opinion rota, ensuring our reporting guidelines are adhered to during clinical peer-review.
  3. Ensure quality assurance checks on equipment and take appropriate action.
  4. Submit reports and archive study images in accordance with contractual requirements and local SOPs.
  5. Liaise with relevant hospital departments and GP practices for urgent clinical referrals.

About You
  • Experience of performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiograms to BSE standards.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • A full understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Information Governance Statement of Compliance, and Caldicott Principles.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
