Highly Specialised Cardiac Physiologist Role

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cardiac Physiologist/Clinical Scientist to join our expanding team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to the Head of Cardiac Implantable Devices in the operational management of the service.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to work as an independent practitioner in cardiac device implantation and follow-up, as well as invasive cardiology. This includes the follow-up, implantation, and extraction of loop recorders, pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT.
You will be actively involved in the following areas of practice:
- Simple and complex device implant, follow-up, and extraction, including pacemakers, ICDs, CRT, S-ICD, leadless, epicardial, and conduction system pacing.
- Simple and complex electrophysiology.
- Structural Intervention, including TAVI, Mitraclip, Valvuloplasty, ASD/VSD/PFO closure, other percutaneous congenital interventions, and left atrial appendage occlusions.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You must hold a BSc in Clinical Physiology/Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) or equivalent and BHRS certification in Devices/EP or equivalent. Additionally, you should demonstrate a commitment to training and the ability to participate in on-call duties. HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist is desirable.
