Curriculum Support and Library Development Lead

Aureus School is seeking an experienced Academic Librarian to join our team and contribute to the development of our school library. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in promoting and developing the library, providing an efficient resource service to students and staff.
The successful candidate will have sole responsibility for managing the school library and its resources, working closely with students to enthuse and engage them in their learning. You will also collaborate with the English department to champion a strong reading culture throughout the school, taking an active role in reading interventions that support struggling readers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Organising, cataloguing, and classifying library resources, both electronically and print-based
- Developing and implementing programs to promote literacy and a love of reading among students
- Working with the English department to develop a strong reading culture throughout the school
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including access to ongoing professional development opportunities and a comprehensive pension scheme.
