We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Education Library Manager at EdEx. As a key member of the school's leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive literacy program that meets the needs of all students.

The successful candidate will have a degree-level education and a proven track record of experience working in a library or similar setting. You will be responsible for managing a small team of staff, supervising and supporting students with their studies, and making recommendations for resources to meet the needs of the National Curriculum.

This is a permanent position directly employed through the school, offering a salary range of 30,000 - 36,000 per annum, depending on experience. The school is located in the Borough of Newham, with easy access to public transport and free parking on site.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive literacy program that meets the needs of all students
  • Managing the school library and all its resources, including books, digital materials, and equipment
  • Identifying and purchasing quality resources to support teaching and learning
  • Providing training and support to teachers and students on how to use the library effectively
  • Working closely with teachers to develop and deliver engaging literacy lessons
