Job Description

As an Apprentice Site Engineer with Galliford Try, you will play a vital role in shaping the built environment and delivering lasting change in the communities we serve.

We are proud to offer a comprehensive apprenticeship programme that combines hands-on experience with technical skill development and academic qualifications. Our award-winning Trainee Development Programme is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the construction industry.

As a Site Engineer Apprentice, you will assist our experienced team in providing setting out and engineering control on site. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in site engineering control and setting out activities
  • Providing information to operatives and subcontractors
  • Assisting in material reconciliations
  • Ensuring all surveying equipment is calibrated
  • Assisting in carrying out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings
  • Supporting in producing 2D & 3D site sketches
  • Assisting in maintaining quality records, ensuring all works undertaken in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and maintaining the as-built records
  • Assisting in basic planning, monitoring & programming
  • Controlling and minimising waste on site
