About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Paediatrician to join our team as a Lead for Looked After Children in the Redbridge Specialist Children Service. This is a new, substantive, full-time post based at The Grove, Grove Road, Chadwell Heath, RM6 4XH.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to babies, children, and young people across Redbridge.
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
  • Work directly with babies, children, and young people, and their families, and liaise as appropriate with other external health providers and acute hospitals.
  • Participate in the local Child Protection rota.
  • Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member while allowing them to work with their own initiative.
  • Work alongside Core/GP Trainees within the service.
  • Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.
Person Specification
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • CCT or equivalent.
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.
  • At least 2 years' experience in Community Child Health.
