Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Executive Officer (HEO) to join our team at the RAF Safety Centre. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our personnel and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety policies and procedures to RAF personnel and stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Develop and implement health and safety training programs to ensure compliance with MOD regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and address health and safety issues and concerns.
  • Provide support and guidance to RAF personnel on health and safety matters, including incident reporting and investigation.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Several years' experience working in a health and safety role, preferably in a military or defence environment.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations, including MOD policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
