Health & Safety Officer

Euro Executive Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Health & Safety Officer to join a leading client in London. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive safety management system, including statutory notifications and inspector site visits.
  • Deliver health and safety induction programs for new employees and contractors.
  • Manage and recommend personal protective equipment (PPE) for on-site employees.
  • Assist site management in compiling cost records and forecasts for health and safety-related issues.
  • Organize and chair site safety meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Review subcontractors' safety statements and compliance.
  • Assist site management in drafting and communicating method statements.
  • Maintain and communicate site emergency plans.
  • Conduct preliminary accident investigations and notify the relevant authorities.
  • Ensure first aiders are available and maintain necessary supplies and certificates.
  • Collate relevant information for inclusion in the safety file for handover to the client.
Requirements:
  • Health and Safety Certificate, Diploma, or Degree is essential.
  • 2 years of on-site safety officer experience, preferably in construction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in the construction industry.
