Job Title: Capital and Projects Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Capital and Projects Manager to join our client's team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for managing and supporting high-value capital projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and support high-value capital projects, including preparing risk assessments, issuing permits for work, and contractor management.
  2. Deliver high-value CapEx projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
  3. Maintain the operational functionality of the plant through CapEx project and process improvement.
  4. Write specifications and scopes of work, prepare RFQs, and review supplier bids.
  5. Lead and support projects to further improve plant KPIs (OEE).
  6. Deliver departmental CapEx projects and cost reduction projects.
  7. Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance departments to develop and implement CapEx projects.
  8. Ensure adherence to H&S policy, procedure, and targets, and ensure contractors adhere to the same.

Requirements:

  1. A competent Projects Manager or Engineering Manager with experience in a high-volume manufacturing or capital-intensive engineering environment.
  2. Degree/HNC in an engineering discipline, ideally with project management qualifications.
  3. Knowledge of production machinery, plant installation, and building facilities, ideally gained in heavy industry or manufacturing environments.
  4. Good understanding of Health & Safety and Safe Systems of Work: RAMS, Permits to Work, etc.
  5. Proven track record of delivering £mil value CapEx projects to agreed specification, on time, and to budget.
