Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Capital Projects Manager to join our team and contribute to the success and growth of a leading global manufacturing organisation.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with a strong background in capital projects, to lead and manage high-value engineering projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support high-value capital projects, preparing risk assessments, issuing permits for work, and contractor management.
  • Deliver high-value engineering projects on time, to budget, and within specification.
  • Maintain the operational functionality of the plant through capital project and process improvement.
  • Write specifications and scopes of work, prepare RFQs, and review supplier bids.
  • Lead and support projects to further improve plant KPIs (OEE).
  • Collaborate with the Engineering and Maintenance department to develop and implement capital projects.
  • Adhere to H&S policy, procedure, and targets, and ensure contractors adhere to the same.

Requirements

  • A degree or HNC in an engineering discipline, ideally with project management qualifications.
  • Knowledge of production machinery, plant installation, and building facilities, ideally gained in a heavy industry or manufacturing environment.
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety and Safe Systems of Work, including RAMS and Permits to Work.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-value capital projects to agreed specification, on time, and to budget.
