Capital Projects Director

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Capital and Projects Manager to join our client, a leading global manufacturing organisation, as they continue to invest in modern machinery and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support high-value Capital Projects, preparing risk assessments, issuing Permits for Work, and contractor management.
- Deliver high-value CapEx engineering projects on time, to budget, and within specification.
- Maintain operational functionality of the plant through CapEx project and process improvement.
- Write specifications, prepare RFQs, and review suppliers' bids to prepare justification and ROI.
- Lead and support projects to further improve plant KPIs (OEE).
- Collaborate with Engineering & Maintenance departments to develop and implement CapEx projects.
- Ensure adherence to H&S policy, procedure, and targets, and ensure contractors adhere to the same.
Requirements:
- A competent Projects Manager or Engineering Manager with experience in a high-volume manufacturing or capital-intensive engineering environment.
- Degree/HNC in an engineering discipline, ideally with project management qualifications.
- Knowledge of production machinery, plant installation, and building facilities, ideally gained in heavy industry or manufacturing.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and Safe Systems of Work: RAMS, Permits to Work, etc.
- Proven track record delivering £mil value CapEx projects to agreed specification, on time, and to budget.
