Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Product Design Engineer to join our team at Premier Group Recruitment. As a Graduate Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products, working closely with our manufacturing team to bring concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop product concepts using 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Conduct testing and prototype development to ensure product quality and functionality.
  • Create technical documentation, project reports, and plans to support design and development processes.
  • Update 3D models and drawings to reflect design changes and improvements.
  • Input parts into the MRP system to create BOMs and ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Review and check drawings for sign off to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with a small multi-disciplinary team on various projects to drive innovation and growth.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering processes and materials.
  • Previous work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
  • Proficient in using 2D and 3D CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Hands-on technical experience through coursework or previous work experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills.
