About the Role

The Financial Inclusion Officer will be part of the Tenancy Support Team, providing a highly professional, customer-focused service to tenants and applicants for Hightown's General Needs Accommodation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support tenants to maximize their incomes, including carrying out benefit checks
  • Work with tenants with complex circumstances to support rent recovery
  • Provide practical support to tenants on a range of issues to help them establish and maintain a tenancy
  • Build positive working relationships with external agencies, such as grant funding charities, the Department for Work and Pensions, local authorities, citizens advice, and debt support agencies
  • Work alongside the Tenancy Sustainment Officers to provide holistic support across a range of issues
About You
  • Experience of working with a busy caseload
  • Knowledge of welfare benefits, welfare reform, and services to support with debt
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Commitment to high standards of service to customers
  • Car owner and qualified driver with access to own vehicle
