Special Educational Needs Teaching Support

We are seeking caring and passionate individuals to join our team of teaching assistants working with children with special educational needs (SEN) in vibrant and supportive schools. As a teaching assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to class teachers and students with various additional needs, such as social, emotional, and mental health needs, autism spectrum disorder, severe learning difficulties, and profound, multiple learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with complex needs, including communication aids and behavior management strategies.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment, adhering to child protection policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement personalized education plans.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEN.
Requirements:
- NVQ 2 or equivalent qualification in childcare or a related field.
- Minimum 3 months of experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
- Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to undergo a new check.
- Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
Estimated Salary Range: £85-£100 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
