Job Overview

This Administrative Coordinator role is a vital part of providing high-quality patient care within the NHS Trusts in Dorset. As a key member of our team, you will be the primary point of contact for departmental queries and will be responsible for managing various demands while working independently for extended periods.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Administrative Support: Provide seamless day-to-day operations in the Nuclear Medicine Department by covering reception duties and offering organisational support.
  2. Patient Liaison: Act as a link between patients, staff, and departments to provide accurate information and advice regarding nuclear medicine procedures and activities.
  3. Scheduling and Record Keeping: Schedule diagnostic and therapy procedures for patients with various clinical conditions, maintain associated statutory records, and liaise with external contacts as required.
  4. PET Service Coordination: Receive PET requests from hospitals across Dorset, send them to Alliance Medical, and handle any related queries.
  5. Appointment Scheduling: Book patient appointments on RIS, send out appointment letters, and distribute Patient Information Leaflets accordingly.
  6. Clinical Collaboration: Coordinate imaging appointments with the Paediatric Department and ensure sentinel lymph node procedures are performed at the right stage in the patient pathway.
Requirements and Qualifications

This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The successful candidate will have excellent administrative and organisational abilities, as well as the capacity to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

We offer a competitive salary range of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, for this exciting opportunity.
