About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our Children's Intensive Support Team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist applied psychology services to our young people and their families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide input to the service through specialist assessments and psychological interventions, team formulation, consultation, training, service evaluation, and supervision of other qualified staff.
  • Work directly with service users and their families or carers, requiring experience of working with young people who are autistic or have a learning disability and mental health needs.
  • Contribute to the supervision and governance of the team, in conjunction with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist.

Requirements
  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology.
  • Knowledge of highly specialised psychological therapies and assessment methodologies.
  • Well-developed skills in communicating technical and clinically sensitive information to clients, families, carers, and professional colleagues.
