Job Title: Clinical and Counselling Psychologist Home Based Opportunity

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our Children's Intensive Support Team for Coventry and Warwickshire. The successful applicant will be required to provide specialist assessments and psychological interventions, team formulation, consultation, training, service evaluation, and supervision of other qualified staff.

About the Role:

  • Provide specialist assessments and psychological interventions for children and young people with Autism/learning disabilities and mental health needs.
  • Work directly with service users and their families or carers, and experience of working with young people who have mental health needs, autism, and Learning Disability is essential.
  • Provide consultation within the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and externally, joint working with other agencies, participation and involvement in service development, research and business meetings, and providing supervision (where appropriate) to other psychology staff or team members providing psychologically informed interventions.

Person Specification:

  • Good honours degree in Psychology. Eligibility for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) PhD or DClinPsych or equivalent in Clinical Psychology (Clinical/Counselling).
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment with children and young people with Autism/learning disabilities and mental health needs.
