Job Title: Clinical Psychologist Home Based

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our Children's Intensive Support Team for Coventry and Warwickshire. The successful applicant will provide specialist assessments and psychological interventions, team formulation, consultation, training, service evaluation, and supervision of other qualified staff.

About the Role

This is a specialist service with a pivotal role in supporting people with autism/learning disability and mental health needs in the community at times of crisis. The successful applicant will work directly with service users and their families or carers, providing consultation within the MDT and externally, joint working with other agencies, participation and involvement in service development, research, and business meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist assessments and psychological interventions for children and young people with autism/learning disabilities and mental health needs.
  • Work directly with service users and their families or carers to provide consultation, training, and supervision.
  • Participate in service development, research, and business meetings to contribute to the growth and improvement of the service.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to provide joint working and support for service users.
Person Specification
  • Good honours degree in Psychology.
  • Eligibility for Graduate Membership of the BPS PhD or DClinPsych or equivalent in Clinical Psychology (Clinical/Counselling).
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment with children and young people with Autism/learning disabilities and mental health needs.
