Smoking Cessation Coach

**About the Role:**

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our maternity team as a Maternity Support Worker. In this role, you will work closely with midwives, obstetricians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and individualized care to pregnant women who are tobacco dependent.

You will provide education and support to individuals about the risks of smoking in pregnancy, promote smoke-free homes and cars, and conduct pre-booking telephone calls. You will also develop personalized treatment plans, use electronic clinical record systems to track progress, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless care experience.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Provide education and support to individuals about the risks of smoking in pregnancy
• Develop and deliver successful health promotion interventions
• Use data collection tools to measure the impact of services
• Liaise with other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless care experience

**Requirements:**

• Educated to GCSE level English and Mathematics or equivalent qualification/experience
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in health-related studies or substantial successful experience delivering stop smoking interventions
• Experience of providing help, support, and/or counselling on a one-to-one basis or as part of a group setting
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with people, their families, carers, community groups, partner agencies, and stakeholders

**Salary:** £26,530 to £29,114 per annum (pro rata if part-time)
