**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Smoking Cessation Coach. As a key member of our maternity team, you will work closely with midwives, obstetricians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based behavioural support and treatment to pregnant women who are tobacco dependent.
In this role, you will provide personalized treatment plans, educate individuals about the risks of smoking in pregnancy, and promote smoke-free homes and cars. You will also conduct pre-booking telephone calls, develop complex behaviour change strategies, and use electronic clinical record systems to track progress.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide motivational coaching to support people's behaviour change
- Develop and deliver successful health promotion interventions
- Use data collection tools to measure the impact of services
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless care experience
**Requirements:**
- Educated to GCSE level English and Mathematics or equivalent qualification/experience
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in health-related studies or substantial successful experience delivering stop smoking interventions
- Experience of providing help, support, and/or counselling on a one-to-one basis or as part of a group setting
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with people, their families, carers, community groups, partner agencies, and stakeholders
**Salary:** £26,530 to £29,114 per annum (pro rata if part-time)
