About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a skilled Classroom Support Specialist to work in a secondary school in the London borough of Tower Hamlets. As a Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for supervising classes of up to 30 teenagers and maintaining control of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise classes of up to 30 teenagers and maintain control of the classroom
  • Communicate with the class teacher and act as their eyes and ears
  • Be active and walk around the class to help students and maintain spatial awareness
  • Use positive notes and real-time notes to engage students and provide feedback
  • Be aware of the school's behavior policy and follow it as necessary
  • Use students' names and photos to build a professional relationship
