Job Overview:

We Manage Jobs (WMJobs) is a dynamic and supportive employer, seeking a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the learning and development of a child with Special Educational Needs, providing personalized support and adapting their approach to meet the child's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide tailored support to the child, adapting your methods to suit their individual requirements.
  2. Assist the child with learning activities, ensuring they remain focused and engaged throughout.
  3. Develop social skills through play and the EYFS curriculum, promoting a nurturing and inclusive environment.
  4. Promote the child's academic progress, supporting their special educational needs and disabilities.
  5. Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to ensure the child's success.
  6. Maintain open communication with parents/carers, contributing to the child's progress reviews.

Requirements:

  1. Experience working with children or adults with special needs, preferably within the EYFS age range.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and caring approach.
  3. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the child's unique needs, showcasing initiative and flexibility.
  4. Support the delivery of a personalized adapted curriculum, ensuring high-quality learning experiences.
  5. A commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment, free from supervision.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is approximately £21,775.56 per annum (TA2 scale 5). The position offers a competitive benefits package.
