Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Macmillan Cancer Health and Wellbeing Manager at the Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS. The position is currently full-time, covering Monday to Friday, and will be an integral part of the Personalised Cancer Care Team. The team has been recognised nationally for their innovation.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Lead on the provision of excellent cancer information and support.
  • Develop and manage the Macmillan health and wellbeing service.
  • Support delivery of personalised cancer care Trust-wide.
  • Develop, deliver, and lead a range of health and wellbeing sessions and information.
  • Oversee the quality of cancer information produced in-house.
  • Line manage the complementary therapy team and benefits advisor.

Cancer services are mainly located on the Queen's Hospital site in Romford. Romford is an historic market town with excellent road links and an easy rail commute into London.

  • Good staff management skills.

Experience/Knowledge

  • Working with people affected by cancer for at least 5 years.
  • Staff management.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous work with Macmillan.
  • Delivered health and wellbeing sessions or workshops.
  • Knowledge of business case writing.
