About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cancer Information and Support Manager to join our team at the Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading on the provision of excellent cancer information and support services to patients and their families.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the Macmillan health and wellbeing service, ensuring that it meets the needs of our patients and their families.
- Work collaboratively with the Personalised Cancer Care Team to deliver high-quality cancer information and support services.
- Lead on the development, delivery, and evaluation of health and wellbeing sessions and information in a variety of formats.
- Manage and lead the Macmillan Cancer Information Service, ensuring that it provides accurate and up-to-date information to patients and their families.
- Oversee the quality of cancer information produced in-house by the oncology and haematology teams.
- Line manage the complementary therapy team and benefits advisor.
