About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Outdoor Education Activity Leader. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality outdoor education programs to children and young people with additional learning needs and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and deliver a range of outdoor education sessions as part of our curriculum offer.
  • Identify the needs of young people within the service and help develop and promote programs.
  • Support the implementation of equal opportunities policy and practice across the service area.
  • Work in partnership with other agencies to promote and develop opportunities for young people to participate in outdoor learning programs.
  • Lead in the delivery of bespoke outdoor education packages for learners with mixed abilities.
  • Assess risk and act upon any issues identified.
  • Deliver learning programs on outdoor activities and related topics, nature, geography, and history.
  • Prepare educational resources.

Requirements:

  • Sound communication skills and the ability to positively engage and motivate young people.
  • Experience of working with young people and delivering outdoor education programs (full training will be provided).
  • Enhanced DBS check for child and adult workforce with barred list checks.
