About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Outdoor Education Activity Leader. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a range of outdoor education programmes to children and young people with additional learning needs and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To organise and deliver a range of sessions as part of the curriculum offer.
  • To identify the needs of young people within the service and help develop and promote programmes.
  • To support the implementation of equal opportunities policy and practice across the service area.
  • To work in partnership with other agencies to promote and develop opportunities for young people to participate in a range of outdoor learning programmes.
  • To lead in the delivery of bespoke outdoor education packages for learners with mixed abilities.
  • To assess risk and act upon any issues identified.
  • To deliver learning programmes on outdoor activities and related topics, nature, geography and history.
  • To prepare educational resources.

Requirements:

  • You must have a full UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable car with Business Insurance.
  • You must have and be able to provide your right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer sponsorship.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £21,600 per annum, rising to £23,760 after a successful probationary period. You will also have the opportunity to work with a skilled team and develop your skills and knowledge in outdoor education.

About Us:

Quantock Outdoor Education, part of the Empower Family Group, is an alternative education provision delivering high quality learning and outdoor experiences to children and young people with additional learning needs and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties. Our skilled team devise and deliver bespoke learning programmes designed specifically to support the needs of our vulnerable young people and work closely with schools across the Southwest to deliver an all-inclusive education provision.

Working with Us:

As an Outdoor Education Leader and Support Worker, work is often term time to support schools between the hours of 08:30am - 16:30pm, Monday - Friday. However, this can change dependent on the needs of the business and whether school holiday programmes are coordinated.

DBS Check:

This role is subject to the successful applicant having an enhanced DBS check for child and adult workforce with barred list checks.
